Indonesia funds 11 sports organizations ahead of 2024 Paris Olympics

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo announced on Monday that the government has provided funding for 11 sports organizations whose athletes will compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics qualifications.

He said that the financial assistance of Rp61.5 billion (around US$4 million) is part of the government’s commitment to improving national sports achievements in the Olympics.

He made the announcement during the signing of a cooperation agreement between the ministry and sports organizations on national centralized training in preparation for the Paris Olympic qualifiers.
